Unlock your best year yet: master the art of creative visioning for success

28 December, 2023

Welcome to a very special blog focused on setting powerful intentions for the year ahead.

As the year ends and another begins, it’s a powerful moment to make conscious decisions.

Personally, I’ve always found the concept of traditional goal-setting a bit arduous.

Instead, I believe in the magic of intention-setting, which shifts the focus to the excitement and feelings that our intentions bring into our lives. This approach isn’t just more enjoyable – it’s deeply effective.

Neuroscience teaches us that when we combine our intentions with genuine emotion and focused attention, we engage our brain in a powerful way. This process activates our conscious and unconscious minds, making our intentions resonate deeply and become more attainable.

Let’s explore how to make this work for us as we step into a new year.

You may wish to pause and grab a notebook and pen because I am going to get you to think about and ponder upon a few important topics, and you may want to write down the answers.

Part 1: Reflecting on the Past Year

First, let’s start by reflecting on the year that’s passed.

Take a moment to list all the things you’ve accomplished in 2023.

Think about the memorable experiences you’ve had and everything you are grateful for. Spend a few minutes making a list of everything you’ve managed to achieve. You might be surprised at just how much you’ve accomplished in twelve months.

Next, write out a list of ten things you want to celebrate about yourself, right now. Once you have your list, read through your accomplishments and congratulate yourself. This is all about recognising and appreciating your own growth and progress. Pause the video anytime you wish to complete the task.

Part 2: Letting Go

Moving on to the next step, list all the things you no longer want in your life.
Make a list of the things you would like to leave behind this year. This could include physical objects, unhelpful habits, limiting beliefs, thought patterns, or even people you no longer wish to spend time with. Acknowledging what no longer serves you is a crucial step in moving forward.

Part 3: Envisioning the Future

Now, let’s shift our focus to the future. Think about your dreams for the coming year. What do you MOST want to feel, experience, and enjoy? Here are some prompts to help you articulate your intentions:

  • This year, I want to feel…
  • This year, I promise myself that I will…
  • This year will be the year that…
  • This year I want to give myself the gift of…
  • My spiritual intentions for this year are…
  • My relationship intentions for this year are…
  • The people I’d like to spend time with or connect more with are…
  • The new friendships I’d like to create would look like this…
  • Ways I’d like to deepen my current friendships are…
  • I’m going to give my body more…
  • I’m going to celebrate my birthday this year by doing / experiencing…
  • This year I’m going to bring into my life…
  • The experiences I’d like to enjoy are…
  • The new skills I’d like to learn are…
  • I’d like to accomplish…
  • I’d like to meet…

After creating your list, take a moment to sit quietly and visualise living with all these intentions fulfilled. Feel the positive energies from your envisioned future flowing into you.

It’s important to remember that while dreaming of the future it’s essential, staying present and energised in the now is equally crucial.

You should find this exercise to be an incredibly uplifting experience.

If you are looking to deepen this process, I have created something truly special for you. I’m excited to announce that my Creative Visioning for Ultimate Connection course has just gone live! The course is crafted to significantly enhance the power of your intention-setting.

Creative Visioning for Ultimate Connection Course

The course isn’t just about listing what you want – it’s about employing the concept of visioning and harnessing your creative resources, to bring your intentions to life vividly.

Engaging your imagination and creative faculties adds a powerful dimension to your intention-setting process, making it more vivid, engaging and – most important – even more effective.

The power of creative visioning lies in its ability to transform abstract ideas into tangible intentions. It’s also about dreaming BIG!

Incorporating creative resources in intention-setting engages more of our brain and unlocks the potential for innovative solutions and ideas. When we can truly see something and imagine it vividly, science shows that we’re more likely to harness opportunities to make it happen. We are essentially priming our brains for success and engaging in creative problem-solving to bring our visions to fruition.

And this course is a short online course designed for you to work at your own pace and to guide you through this enriching process, aiding you to manifest your intentions and turn your dreams into reality.

It only takes a couple of hours to complete and is one of the most powerful things I teach in all my work. Through doing this exercise, year after year, with my clients, I have seen the wonderful results this kind of work can bring.

So, if you’re ready to elevate your intention-setting and take it to the next level and truly manifest the life you desire, check out Creative Visioning for Ultimate Connection.

Thank you for joining me in this journey of reflection and intention-setting.

Here’s to a year of powerful transformations and realising your dreams!
